近所に引越し（その７）

読者のみなさま（そんなにたくさんいないけど、一応「読者のみなさま」☆）からはその後近所に引越しする件はどうなったのか、という問い合わせがたくさんありました。

その後どうなったのでしょうか。

実はその後この件関連のごたごたが実に多くあり、つい先月（!!）決着がついたので、あらためましてブログにアップデートできることになりました。終わりの見えないままアップデートすることにやや不安があったため。

そして前回の続き。

1ヶ月以上かかって返信あり、家主も8月10日の退去で合意したことが判明しました。ま、希望より少し早いけど、この時点でだいたい自分の希望通りになっていました。夏休みから帰った次の日に引越しするのでやや落ち着かないですが、１ヶ月分重複する家賃を払わなくてもよいので経済的には助かります。

さらに1ヶ月経過してから、このメール。
We can confirm the move out date for you and your family to be the 14^th August as you originally requested. Please confirm that you are Ok with this.

は？

10日で合意してまた変更するの？ということで、私からの返信。
Thank you for your email.  After the recent communication, my understanding was that we would plan for a move out on August 10 (by the afternoon).  The movers, painters, our travel plans, hotel arrangements were all aligned to this date already.
However if it is important to stay a few more extra days, I can agree to staying until Thursday August 13, with a handover of the house in the afternoon on August 13.
Would that work for you?  As I will be extensively travelling in the coming weeks, I would appreciate it if you could continue to communicate with XXX and YYY about the details and the final decision.  Thank you very much.

このメールが受け入れられ、8月13日で合意。
